Well just got back from CompUSA and it was sweet :D, nice screen too. Any last minute warnings before I get this suckar? It only comes with a 1-year warantee and upgrading to a 3-year costs a fortune and then starts competing with the price of the Dell.

Warranty is VERY important when purchasing a notebook.

Well that sux0rs...is it really worth it? I mean let's say that a PC card slot busts for some reason, but in the entire laptop's lifetime nothing else goes wrong. Is it still worth it to have a 3-year?

If the 3yr deal costs a fortune then I'd have a look to see what else you could buy for the same price; you might be able to get a better deal

Toshiba laptops are quite reliable though :)

I'd do it as a lot more thtan the PC card slot can bust.

On a desktop I'd have no problem with tearing the thing open and throwing in a new power supply, hard drive, etc....but 80% of laptop parts aren't user-serviceable. Only RAM, hard drive, SOMETIMES the CDRW/DVD, and if you're lucky, the CPU.
