ActiveX to PLC

Hi there,

I am a student and work with Allen Bradley programmable controllers(PLC).

I was wondering if anyone had any idea about writing Active X controls in VB to communicate with a PLC through the serial port.

I would appreciate if somebody could atleast direct me in some way so that i can build on that.
