    USB connectivity

    I'm not in the know wrt USB, so I was wondering whether a USB keyboard exists? I've got an old laptop with shot batteries, which I want to park (closed) next to my new desktop. I want to have a USB hub between the two, with switchboxes using 1 monitor, 1 kb and 1 mouse for both. Only the laptop does'nt have a plug for external kb, only USB port.
    Any ideas?
