    XP Built in Firewall

I noticed that XP has a Firewall option for network connections.

Is this just as good as the third party stuff (ie Norton Personal Firewall) ?

Probably not...you'd be better off either using a router or something like ZoneAlarm.

It does not stop outbound internet access (like trojans attempts, etc). Lots of people see that as a bad thing.

    Get these: Mozilla Opera OpenBSD
I have books for sale: "MCSD in a Nutshell" and "VB Distributed Exam Cram" - PM me for details. Will also trade for a decent ATX Pentium 2 MB/CPU/RAM combo.

Thanks, I got zone alarm installed.

can't seem to access some URLs with it enabled though. Guess I need to play with the settings.

    Thanks again!
