OMG the new Celeron is going to suck soooo bad. 128KB cache on a Williamette core clocked at 1.7 gig? Give me a break. The older 1.3 gig Tualatin Celerons will kick its ass. I bet it'll be paired with SDRAM too.

AMD on the other hand...nice job  266FSB, 0.13u manufacturing process...performance ratings...great job. Go get em AMD. :D

One of the other articles at that place said that P4s have 80% of the market share. I find that horribly too much....

" Morgan core doesn’t have any architectural differences from its predecessor and feature 64KB L2 cache"

Still far more efficient than the P4 Williamettes. Heck, a 1.2 Athlon Thunderbird can roast a P4 1.9 Willy...

Look at the Best Buy ads. It's P4, P4, and more P4. A lot of people don't care about saving money and getting performance like we do :)

well the key for me is preformance, alot of people really don't give a **** about preformance, they look at 2 computers in the store and say "hmmm i can get a p4 @ 1.6 ghz or a athlon @ 1.4 now whuch should i get, well the number is bigger on the p4 so i will get that"

Performance ratings have solved a lot of that confusion :) but not all :(

Due to market wanting standard Wintel setups in my expierance, ppl don't want to risk selecting non Intel chips. And lets face it any PC running over 1gighrtz is enough to build a spreadsheet on ... hell a 386 still does the trick if you don't wont win95 +

Actually they aren't....an XP 2100 will kick the ass of a P4 2.2
