What is wrong with the search engine?

I usually use the search engine to find out if anything is posted on threads I previously answered on. That way I don't get flooded with emails. But I noticed that it can't find these posts anymore, if I only search by user name.
If I search for the last 30 days, it finds 4 threads. I'm pretty sure there where more.

If you don't want to get flooded with e-mails, just encheck the "emial notification" box.
