How do I open a website?
Sorry to post it here....
There's this website: www.nurvtel.com that has been disallowed not by my ISP but by the Internet uplinker. I can access this site from my office (I use a leased line there) & also from cyber cafes...Any ideas how can access it from a Dial up line...

Telnet to your ISP.
Then use whatever Internet client (like Lynx) they may have as part of member services
If your ISP has it, use Twig.
Both of these are browsers that originate as requests from the ISP, not your dialup connection.

Connect to your ISP. Most ISP's have webbrowsers available on their machines.
TWIG is an HTML (windows) webbrowser and mailserver. YOu start it up from IE on your PC to read mail and browse (the browsing starts at your ISP, not your home PC).
Lynx is a line mode browser. YOu connect to you ISP via telnet.
Login. Use the menus they have to get to Lynx. Browse.
In other words, what you are doing is using software that lives at your ISP's site. Not software that lives on your PC.
You ISP may not have the above software. Ask them what they do provide.
Lynx is free from www.gnu.org and if your ISP is a unix shop (most are) you can install Lynx to run under your account. Or they may install it for you. Ask.
