uh ok last night i did something not too smart i accidentally disabled the guest account on my computer, now first let me explain a little background. when i installed XP, i had to put an administrator password on my computer, however i just made a guest account with administrator access that didn't have a password. Last night i accidentally disabled the guest account, now i get a login screen and i don't know my password, is there any way to get arount passwords in XP professional, any override passwords, anything? at last resort i can get my important data back (what i don't already have backed up) by just installing windows and NOT formatting. if i had decided to go with a fat32 file system i could have mounted my windows partition and accessed it from linux, however i decided to try out NTFS . Anyways, if it is possible to have an override password for this and you know it i will be greately appreciative, anyways i am off to browse through some security sites.

Since you just changed it. When windows is loading restart your computer then go to "Last settings that worked" it might restore the guess account. Best thing I can think of. Good Luck :)
