really high price for Visual Studio .net; can we have only VB.net & C# ?
I've read on MS web site something like $1071 for the professional edition of the suite.
do you guys know how much is VB.net only and C# only?
where? how much ? are they learning editions?

you can get VB.NET and C# (standard editions, cos you can't get VB.NET or C# professional editions) for $99 each from amazon.com

You can get the upgrade version of Visual Studio for $479. If you had any professional version before (VB Pro, VC++ pro) you will get a $300 rebate too!
So, the total cost after rebate is $179. That's not too bad!

Alternatively you can download the compilers for free from MS's site.
It's the .NET Framework SDK

The compilers are there...even with the .NET runtime package. (you won't get the other tools like ildasm...SDK help, examples with that)
