Beacon?
If you have some time, I like to ask you some questions. Our company is thinking of upgrading from SQL Server 7 to SQL Server 2000. How much more powerful is SQL Server 2000 than SQL Server 7? Can you give me a brief idea?
Thanks

I'm not beacon, but I just read today that SQL Server 2000 set a world record at some benchmark testing with 4537 concurrent users.

SQL server 2000 is probably now the fastest database in the world.
I could speel a lot of stats MS and others have come out with about how good SQL server 2000 is but really what you have to ask is:
1) What do i do?
2) Is Server 7 not performing as well as i would like?
etc etc.
Perhaps ask me some more specific questions if you want?
Overall i would upgrade eventually but it all depends on size and use etc.
