This is my first internet forum post!
I just put my first ActiveX User Control on the net but I'm wicked disapointed that the page can't be viewed by most folks because it tell them their security settings don't allow this.To reset they'd have to set their settings to no security and restart. Did I do something wrong or is there a work around? Do you think I'm better off learning java to write to the net? It seems MS took better care of the java folks than they did to themselves.
Please help,
Joey o.

Unfortunately, that is the down side to using an OCX. Depending on how you look at it, it can be a good thing. For instance, if someone were a malicious programmer they could persuade people to download the control and then wreak havoc on their system.

I'm curious as to what your using your OCX for...Have you tried using a VB6 webclass instead?

Don't know about web classes, but the activeX is a control to let you draw on a webpage. Write me if you got some info or want more.
