I need to figure out how to read a single field out of a oldass btrieve database into the SQL7.0 database. I can handle the writing the, say string value, to the SQL portion, but grabbing the Btrieve crap is whats holding me back.
I once asked a database programmer who originally designed the Btrieve database how the hell you access the data and here was his reply :)
"Btrieve don't need any stinking field names! It's just raw data in blocks."
Sounds fun, but I can't find any data from Novell/Btrieve or Microsoft. Anybody have a clue??
