asp com excel

I have an asp that calls an activex dll I wrote. The dll uses excel to do some charting. The excel manipulation is happening EXTREMELY slow. Have any idea why this could be happening? I originally wrote this program as a standare exe. As a regular exe, it does the excel manipulation rather quickly. The dll version of this program uses the exact same code to interact with excel. But it takes like 5 minutes to do what the regular proggie does in about 15-20 seconds.

Any ideas?
