There was a Qbasic game called nibbles, I had done some works on it, adding a third snake option, an AI-snake and alots of powerups, walking trough walls, block shitting ability, a leveleditor and I don't remember what, but I've lost that one. Have anyone done something like this? ;) Also gorilla was a cool one modifing it.

God, i remember the gorilla game. You could change the gravity and why not. Also you could change the size of the explosions so they were bloody massive.

I used to have a program called Artillary on the good old C64, which was the same, but with mortars, rather than gorillas throwing bananas at each other.

Classic Games:)

Hey! I remember gorrillas! I was awsome at it. I could through that bananna better than anyone. I could never modified it, I don't think i even heard of programming back then! anyone got a clone for windows? I smell a game coming on!

Has anyone done those games in VB? It would be fun to spice up the games with little icons and backgrounds and all that, haha.

I am not much of a game programmer myself, but maybe one of you guys would have an idea?

Just a suggestion.

That would be a easy piece of work, but I don't have time for that now, maybe later. Playing worms don't give the same feeling as playing gorilla i know.

There's a demo (http://orion.spaceports.com/~mccloud/coding/general.htm#Snakes) of the Snakes game on my website...

Nibbles seems like a pretty popular topic. We're talking about it here, General and Games Section.

Anyone ever play Scorched Earth. It's a DOS game like Gorillas, except it uses tanks, can have up to 8 players, has a ton of weapons, mouse support, as well as a bunch of other things. You can download it from either http://www.scorchedearth2000.com or http://www.dosgames.com

I created i simple snake but it has only a backround and the snake had another backround. It wan't very good as it worked only with colors and boxes in a picture box.On the other hand it was fast enough to play. Now I left it because I don't have much time. But if I find some I think that I should created with memory DCs to make it more faster and to put backround images. If somebody has enough time I would recommend him to work on it.

I'm working on a game like nibbles for VB.
You will be able to
play over the modem/LAN
make levels
use 50 different items
change setings
and more

Hi all,

Seen all the interest in Nibbles, Gorrilla and such
wonderful DOS games. I was wondering if anyone remembers
a game called Digger?

It was an excellent DOS game with quite good CGA graphics.
Unfortunately it was CPU speed sensitive and when 386's
came along, it became unplayable.

Does anyone know if there is an updated version out there
that will play at a reasonably slow speed regardless of CPU speed?
