DCOM & MDAC version conflicts

Can someone tell me abt the versions conflicts that DCOM and MDAC will have ?

That is, I would like to install MDAC (say 2.1)in a m/c for a new product which will use MDAC 2.1

But the m/c already has DCOM and previous version of MDAC (say 2.0) installed in it?

Now will the installation of MDAC 2.1 in the same m/c cause a problem for the existing products already installed, which use the old version of MDAC (2.0) ?

Let me know this, as we do not want the existing products to suffer because of the installation of new MDAC.

I'm not really sure if it will hurt your current apps
it is possible to roll back the changes on a test machine,flakey but possible.
