Hi all,
Does anyone know of a good nt hosting service, I want to do a page with ASP support and ms Access/or sql server. The problem is there are so many hosting companys out there im not sure which one is good or not. Im also looking to spend no more then $20 a month.

Are you in US or UK or where? a-q (http://www.a-q.com) do .co.uk domains for £50 a year roughly.

a-q do .com domain names pretty cheap too I think.
I'm not sure what the prospects are, pretty good I expect. I'm doing it for work experience, because it's good to learn it.

Prospects are very good at the moment for both VB and ASP In the U.K. I'm just finishing a contract In ASP, and the agency I'm with have already got me lined up for 5 interviews for new ones.

Hi,
I'm currently deploying a web server running Win 2K Advanced Server with Perl, ASP and SQL Server support. The machine is a PIII 500, 256MB RAM, 2x8.4GB (1 is mirrored). If you're interested in a cheap bit of hosting, let me know.

Go to http://www.ewebcity.com free or pay a little for better, it's great! No banners, nothing! I love it!

http://www.webjump.com
http://www.virtualave.net
two great free web hosting services with cgi bins, but web jump uses frames for advertisement, and virtualave uses banners or popups. :(
you have the option to place a banner on your page, if you dont a popup automaticly comes up...

To vbSquare,
Would you offer third party components such as aspupload and so on. What i am specifically doing is a family website where i plan on using extensive ASP code. Also I am in the states and I believe you are in England so we have a time difference thing working.
Regards,
Scott

Hi Scott,
The upload component you mentioned is currently not supported, but we intend to purchase a file upload component soon which will be available on our web server.
If you would like a quote, then please email me at: sam@vbsquare.com

Sweet, nice server.
My current connection is to a Unix server for my free domain, but I would like to have somewhere where I can upload my various ASP offerings for people to view before they download.
Now marks my movement into ASP.
Viva La Revolution!
Alex.

Does anyone have any problems accessing a database over the net... i.e a component not registered error?
