Media Player control

I want to use the media player control in VB to handle ASF files (streaming, obviously). No matter what I do, I can't get the control to "rewind" and play like the last ten seconds or so (the conrtols are grayed out). I've heard that the .asf needs to be indexed, but that doesn't seem to help either. Any ideas?
