Form Designer or converter for .NET SDK

Are there any free or very low cost form designers for VB.NET? I am currently evaluating the free SDK, and it doesn't include one.

I would also be interested in a utility to convert VB6 forms, if one exists.

p.s. Anyone know if Microsoft is going to update Office for VB .net compatability?

There is an Update Wizard with the retail verison that updates VB6 forms - but I think you are after something low-cost?

As of yet there are none, there are some free code editors, but none with form designers. I do know a couple projects that are working on it.

The only form designer as of now is Visual Studio .NET

The wizard doesn't come with the IDE. I'm looking for a low cost or free conversion utility, or form editor that will work with the free SDK.

I will end up buying the full retail version of VS.net, but not this month. I'm looking for something to use in the meantime.

Anybody know if you can still download the free Beta2 of vb.net?

It has a time limit, so you might now have to set back your clock, but it WOULD let you convert VB6 forms.

Well im sure you can find the beta 2 of VS .Net somewhere BUT...big BUT here..

Beta 2 forms will not work with release versions of the framework.

No there is no URL to the project I know of working on a form editor since there is no page up as of yet and is still a way off from being complete..or workable for that matter.

    You can check out

    http://www.icsharpcode.net/OpenSource/SD/default.asp

for a free code editor with plans to add a form editor in the future, but it would not expect it anytime soon.

    Say what?

    First I've heard of it.

I assume you mean after they are compiled with the Beta I'm assuming source code written with the Beta will port okay.

code is fine . It is just that beta forms , i mean ones made with Visual Studio, are in a different format. I think there is a conversion tool somewhere.
