Is it possible to 'unsubscribe from the forum'?

I just looked in my inbox to find 60 new messages, mainly to do with threads I answered to, not asked. I know you can change this with an option in the 'profile' section, but can I delete myself COMPLETELY (ie Username, Password, E-mail address etc?) If I can't do that (but the administrators can, would they do it for me?)

The reason that you have all those emails is that you have selected to receive email notification for your posts. As you know, you can set the DEFAULT setting for email notification in your profile. However, this will only affect future posts, not posts you have made in the past. To change previous posts, select the edit icon above the post and turn off the email notification.

There is no way to remove your account from the forum.
