ADO data control

I have used the Shape Append structure to create parent child relationships within VB6 ADO code. I wish to do the same either
(1)by creating a parent child relationship between two ADO data controls or
(2)by creating a parent child relationship for multiple recordsource indices within an ADO data control

Has ANYONE done either of the above, or have any suggestions for linking two recordsets being accessed by form, subform

I need to get the it done ASAP my whole project is stuck becos of it.
