Long Signatures

Is there a way to restrict signature length. I have been reading some posts lately and a certain person has a signature that takes up almost one entire screen. It gets really annoying when you are trying to help others or find some answers.

I like most peoples sigs, but some people are just making thiers way toooo long.

Just out of curiousity, what is the maximum length that you can have a signature?

Maybe you can shorten the amount of characters that everyone can have!!

It's usually the large font sizes, and large pictures that make the signatures longer.

Also imposing a character limit would mean you'd have to use less vB code.

If you Report a Post that has a long signature, I (and I'm pretty sure the other moderators as well) will ask him/her to shorten it. If the user doesn't comply and its unreasonably long, we have the ability to shorten it ourselves. BTW Jesus4U did actually shorten his signature at my request.

Now I have that image stuck in my head: a smushy three-fingered hand puppet vampire pointing and laughing at me counting endlessly "1 ha ha ha, 2 ha ha ha, etc." while a very ugly pink version of David Gilmore gives me the finger and monitors his hands trying desperately to learn how to play guitar.
