Using a custom help file

I've created an app now I need a help file.....
I'm looking for the best way to go about doing this

It does'nt matter if it is Text,Doc,Word ect..
Just not sure what is best and where to start...

Any Idea's?

On the vb/vis studio cd is a tool called HW, install it. Everything is done it RTF but it works.

For CHM, I don't know how to make those...but HLP are easy.
