Ok, so I got the docs, and thanks to everyones support. The shear potency of the Direct7 package is impressive, it will obviously be a useful tool.
After going through their tutorials, I managed to make overlapping sounds with great clarity and at a minimal cost to speed within minutes.
However(I like that word, it comes in handy), I've so far only been able to get 1 sound to play, albeit repeatedly and overlapping(ly?). Now I know I've only been at this for 12 hours, and learning and patience go hand in hand, but after reading through the almost indecipherable documentation, I've come to the conclusion that there has got to be a more comprehensible guide to DirectX7.
My question is, where?
