Alternatively,

get a copy of paint shop pro animation shop and use the Image Tranform feature to create an animated gif

then save the individual frames as separate gif files

are you still following this?

next, import the set of files into an imagelist and display them in an image one at a time swapping them using a timer or another method of delaying execution.

for each frame, make the image thinner.
eg, 10 pixels per each frame

just make sure that you keep the middle of the image in the same spot (if you make it 10 pixels thinner you'll probably need to move it 5 pixels to the right)

when the image is as thin as it can go, make it bigger again in the same incriments.

This will only show one side though... If you want to make it look like it turns a full 360 degrees then you'll need to mirror the image

I hope this helps...

Or simply, if you have an animated gif logo get a copy of gif89.ocx add it to your splash screen and simple point it to the animated gif logo. Have done this numerous times with success. If ya need a copy of the ocx email me at jeff.ritchie@fujitsu.com.au and l will send it to you :)
