I have been wanting for a while to get into ASP having already spent much time with VB.

However I hear that a new improved standard is coming out inline with VS7 called asp.net. This standard according to what I have read is meant to be superior to current asp.

Should I be bothered at all learning the current asp or should i wait and go with asp.net?
