a pdf will only show in acrobat reader. the reader will open up in the browser, or as a stand alone.

you can not show the pdf in the browser without the reader.

once there is a link in the browser like file.pdf
and you left click on it, it will open the reader in the bowser. if you right click on it and save and then open it, it won't open in the browser but the reader itself.

Thanks for your help scoutt.

Does it depend on the server having Acrobat Reader installed or will it depend on the client having it installed???

What will happen if the client does not have Acrobat Reader?

it has to be on the client. if the client doesn't have it then they won't be albe to view it. just put a link on tha tpage so they can download it, that is the best thing to do.

yeah, and it also depends if the clients browser has the ability to open it within the browser.
