Which ADO control do I use?

While tyring to learn more about ADO, I have found many tutorials that use the ADO 2.5 reference and some use the ADO (Adoc) 6.0 activex control. Which is better or does it matter?

Since I am not familiar with ADO and have used activex controls alot along with the Data control, I would feel more comfortable with the ADO 6.0 activex control. Is there a reson I should not do this?

Also, I plan to use it with the TrueDBGrid control from ComponentOne.com and it does work already as long as I use the OLEDB grid control.

I find that most people use ADO2.5 (although 2.6 is out now).
It takes a while to get the hang of it but once you get used to it. It's pretty good.
Just remember that all your clients will have to have MDAC 2.5 or 2.6 installed on them before your program will work properly.
