Can VB 6.0 link to other software type

I doing a project which requires me to write a program using VB 6.0 to capture the number of pages scan from a scanner and the properties such as the size and tone use to scan.

The software i am using for scannig is acrobat.

Is there any way that i can link to the acrobat software and get the data i want?

your best bet would be to look for some components at Adobe. They might have a dll or ocx for u to use.
