I heard on the radio that Micro****e is planning on taking out the WTC from its next release and update of its flight sim!!!
Talk about bad taste!

I just feel that they didn't need to publish it.. They didn't need to let everyone know.. I thought that it was a bit insensitive.

I think this is a reasonable thing to do (removing the WTC). It's a difficult choice to make, but let's face it, not to do so would also be in poor taste.
As some of you may know, I'm restoring a Flight-Simulator for a museum and we are using Flight Sim 2000 for the engine. We originally had New York as the main area of flight, but have decided to move it to another city after the bombing because the WTC features so prominantly in the sky line.

They are doing it because EVERYONE is doing the same thing and letting people know. Examples:
The SpiderMan movie trailer has been pulled because of the WTC in it.
A movie abnout a high rise hijacking (or something like that) has been postponed for release.

of course they're going to take it out...it doesn't exist anymore. Flight Sim is an accurate depiction of the world, it' geography and it's features. No doubt if they rebuilt it, they would include the new building.
