I live in nyc and im going to try to go to work today, but it wont be easy. How could i type away at my keyboard when so many people have died and are missing.
But New Yorkers show their union with each other. I wanted to volunteer, they said they have more then enough volunteers. I wanted to give blood, it was a 5 hour wait and they said to come back tomarrow, ive been trying to give for 2 days.
New York is tough and I know we will bounce back. But im not looking forward to the next year. All the tragic deaths of all the people. And if i dont know someone directly who died, i know of people that are missing or know people that have a friend or relative that is dead. This is a tough time and there is also a lot of hate going around. People want vengence in a big way right now. Some people have compared this to pearl harbor. that was differnet, you knew who the enemy was, here the enemy is the guy sitting on the train next to you. How do you fight that? Im an American and i stand by my country and governement in whatever action they do. If this was 60 years instead of lines to give blood there would be lines to enlist... thanks for reading this and we are all in it together, because the world became a much crueler place on 9112001
