    Windoze, net and a problem....

    Hi,

Yesterday I finished reinstalling windows for the second time this week (apparently the c drive errored and slowed dodwn just the net things (email checking - winipcfg).

Finally got it up n running yesterday. Only I was missing direct x 8 so I put that on today and for some reason its gone slow again. It takes 5 mins to get into express 5.5 yet yesterday it loaded nice n fast.

What I am wondering is :
Has this happened to anyone else ?
Does anyone know the answer (apart from reinstall) ?

If nothing else I think I'll be reinstalling again :/

    Cheers in advance

    Vince

    hmm

Cheers - didn't know about that forum. Which is why I didn't post there.

The d/l of the msg from here was scrambled :/ so I assume it was the usual - you have a reply.

Card : NIC - RealTek - would tell you more but winipcfg is not moving
OS : Win 98 (4.10.1998 I think - it was in the corner of my d/top but has gone now :/)
