We have multi apps running that use the comm port (barcode scanner gun). The problem is, the first app that opens grabs the comm port (mscomm) and the next app bombs trying to open the comm port since it is already open.

We have tried closing the comm port upon losing focus on the first app, and having the second app then open the comm port, but this is shakey and bombs after a while.

Any ideas? Anyone? Anyone?
