I want to convert an Access Database to VB. I have VB5. Can I take and copy a Form from Access directly into VB without having to recreate all the controls, boxes, labels, etc?

    Thanks

    Steve,

What version of Access? The following applies to Access 97, haven't as yet looked at 2000. If you have access installed, boot it up, and load the project in question. Whoops current site l am working at doesn't have access installed. . Ok will have to get back to you, anyway if you have the time hunt around Access's menu options and you will found one which allows conversion of the current Access form to a vb form, pretty cool. Of course you will then need to open a vb project and add the generated form.

Will get back to you after l have found the menu sequence on my home machine.

    Steve,

Sorry had a quick look and couldn't find it. Asked my Partner who has actually done this and she couldn't remember how she did it, although it was something like clicking on the forms tab selecting a form and then going into design mode. The option to generate a vb form is then activated but caren't for the life of me remember or find where.
